The challenge

Dictation tools are slow, stuck inside one app, and paste raw transcripts full of filler that you then have to fix by hand.

What we built

An Electron app for macOS: hold the hotkey, speak, release, and the text is pasted where your cursor is, in email, Slack, docs or your editor. A Next.js backend serves desktop and mobile, with Polar billing and one Drizzle schema shared across Postgres and SQLite.

Data & AI

A streaming speech pipeline across Groq, Deepgram and ElevenLabs keeps latency under 50ms. A cleanup pass understands what you meant, removes the filler and formats the result before it lands.

Impact

Writing by voice becomes five times faster than typing, with no window to switch to.
